Haven Banks has been delivering adventurous activities to young people for what is now approaching 30 years. During this time the Centre has expanded its activity range, to now cover over 15 different adventurous activities.

What began back in 1978 as a provision for schools & youth groups, soon expanded to deliver activities to every young person & adult, all year round. This continues  for any groups or individuals who wish to attend the Centre, but also on evenings or weekends as a private group or perhaps to join one of our school holiday activitiy programs which run during the Spring,  Summer or Autumn Half-Terms & throughout the school Easter & Summer Holidays. We now also offer a Saturday  Kayak & Sailing Club

Whether it is with a school, youth group, uniformed organisation, an organised day out, residential or  one of our holiday programs or activities, there really is no better or safer place for your child to have fun, learn, improve their skills, develop &. meet new friends.

Staff at the Centre are fully qualified and experienced at working with young people. Each is registered with Devon County Council to lead the activities they take charge of. In addition, all instructors hold National Governing Body instructor qualifications. This means that parents & guardians can be assured that young people are with competent, experienced,

well trained and qualified instructors at all times. To back this up the Centre is inspectioed on a regular basis by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), The British Canoe Union (BCU) & The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) who inspects activity centres and other activity providers on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills (DfES) for  nationally accepted standards of good practice in adventurous activities.
