The Club will work towards
RYA Youth Sailors Awards. The Youth Sailing Scheme has four levels of courses to teach you the basics,
and this is a great way to learn whatever type of sailing you choose to do in the future.
For those who have already
started awards, we can also finish off or begin RYA Level 1. In fact we can take you as far as RYA Seamanship Skills or
RYA Day Sailing. A variety of skills will be taught through fun tasks, excercises & games. There are also elements of fun
theory sessions, where you will learn about parts of the boat, meteorology, points of sailing, tacking, gybing & much more.
The Sailing Club enthasis is to encourage young people into the exhilerating & sometimes technical sport of sailing. Every
week new skills & techniques will be taught, enabling you to skillfully sail a dinghy wherever you want to take it. Water allowing!

By popular demand, we are now offering a 6 week Sailing Club. Initially for beginners, though with the possibility of then running
an Improvers Course from Starcross Yacht Club.
The Club will be based from the Centre on the safe, sheltered waters of the River Exe.
Places are limited, so early booking is essential.
