Following on from the success of the March Kayak Club, Haven Banks is offering a further six week Saturday Kayaking Club for
beginner & hopefully Improvers. During the Course young people can obtain BCU Star Awards or complete awards already started.
Perhap you just want to come to get out on the water for some great fun!
Should interest allow, we will also be looking to run a 6 week course for those wishing to progress to Paddlepower Discover. Equivalent
to BCU 2 Star. Please register your interest.
To attend this course members must hold Paddlepower Passport or BCU
1 Star award. Members will require an assessment at the end of the course to achieve the BCU 2 Star Award
Strokes & skills in both
kayaks and Canoes will be improved as well learning new skills, such as Eskimo & Deep Water Rescues, Skulling & Eskimo
Roll for those more advanced paddlers.

We will be restarting the Kayaking Club for beginners in May 2011 – A 6 week Club each Saturday morning at 9.30am until 12.30pm. For novices wishing to progress to BCU Paddle Power Awards, BCU 1 Star or just get afloat for a great time.
The Club will work towards BCU 1 & then move on towards 2 Star. A variety of strokes & skills
will be taught as well as the obvious fun & games. The Club enthasis is to encourage enjoyable & safe paddling. May include
a weir trip or two, try a boat session, where you can try modern playboats, sea kayaks & open canoes.
